A picture is worth a thousand words, but what if a story were to impact a thousand lives?

It's time to start telling our stories of the impacts of the built environment

We spend about 90% of our time indoors

(that's a lot of stories to tell)

We spend most of our lives indoors or engaging with buildings, but why is it that we don't talk about how these spaces impact us daily? It might be because most of the impacts are invisible until they emerge as a disease, or we hear about it on the news. Or maybe because we brush it off as "normal daily exposures" and it "won't affect us".... until it does while bringing devastation to the family.

By sharing our personal stories about how the built environment (aka buildings) has impacted our lives,
we are creating a knowledge bank of experiences and a community to reinforce the need for safe and
non-toxic products in our buildings.

Knowledge is power, let's learn from each other and lean into a world that promotes safe products for workers, our families, the planet and ultimately for the well-being of future generations.
